THE SCENE

Acoustic-based Performers

We are proud of the fact that we have one of the best acoustic instrument recording engineers in the Midwest working with us.  Tracking an acoustic guitar is not as easy as one would think, if you want it to sound like you're "right there" as you listen to it.  Violins, Violas, Cellos, Mandolins, Autoharps, Percussion, Piano, Flutes, Trumpets, Saxophones...... ALL acoustic instruments .... require a very special attention that can make or break a recording session.  We give it that special detail and attention so that it sounds "LIVE" when it leaves our door.

Blues, Country and Blues-based Rock

We have a professionally designed commercial recording studio offering a 32' X 28' live room with 14' ceilings, vocal ISO booth, and a tuned/engineered control room, so we can set up and record your band "live in the studio", capturing that magic that occurs in any live performance, but especially in the world of Blues, Country and Blues-based Rock music.  We give you the opportunity be creative and relaxed at the same time!

Pop and Punk Rock

Much like the Blues-rock scene, there is an energy that comes across in a "live studio" recording with Punk Rock, but Pop music requires a lot of polish and detail!  After capturing those initial performance tracks -- whether for Pop or Punk -- we can go back in and add the special effects, phrases, and licks that create that unique take you're looking for.

Plus, we have a HUGE selection of vocal mics that let us match up singers perfectly, allowing Pop singers -- male or female -- to find THAT vocal sound they're seeking that will set them apart from the crowd!

Contemporary Christian and Gospel

Our live room is large enough for a grand piano, drums, and organ, and a couple dozen people.  To make it easy on you, we already have a Wurlitzer Organ and a piano here, and the Steinway/Ballwin store is literally three blocks away, if you need to rent a BIG piano!  We can record a choir of singers or a choir of hand bells.  (We've done both).

If your flavor in Contemporary Christian leans towards the "pop" feel, then read about our "Rock" or "Pop" stuff above.

Heavy Metal and Hard Rock

Our live room is ideally suited for recording that "John Bonham" drum sound.  HUGE, round and powerful.  With our ISO room and ISO amp containers,  we can record all of you, performing like you were meant to, but with outstanding instrument and vocal isolation for an exceptional mix.
