Travis King

Chief Recording/Mix Engineer and Managing Partner
Travis got his formal music
education at Webster University, where he received his degree in Audio
Engineering. He then served an Internship at Smith-Lee, a successful local
recording studio. Travis has exceptional skills in mic'ing up acoustic and
amplified instruments. His tracking technique is unique and effective and his
mixes are vibrant and solid.

the black art of the mastering engineer! His mastering skills have been
applied to projects for Drew Mantia, Pam Greene, Andy Whitten, Lil' Ty, John

looking for without the squashed sense that so many songs seem to have these
days.
Travis has recorded and/or
mixed projects for Borean Dusk, John Nikos, Josh Boley, The Matter, A Major
Award, Javier Mendoza, Lil' Ty, Brad Fox, Andy Whitten, Pam Green, Celldom,
Tre'Von Griffith, The Gloaming, Chris Aytes, Drew Mantia, The Relation Band,
John Shields, Frank's Creation/Inner City Blues Band, and dozens of others ....
as well as engineering several sessions here at 12 Bar for multi-platinum LA
Engineer and Producer Skip Saylor.

the head of 12 Bar Sound Studios.

Michael Parsons - Partner
Mike is a mechanical engineer,
competitive water skier and sometimes musician.
He is an avid music fan and is proud to be part of 12 Bar.
On his mp3 player you will find everything from Frank Sinatra to Frank
Zappa.
Mike got his first guitar for Christmas in 1968,
a Stella Harmony. He played through
his college years but then stopped.
About 15 years later he started playing again and over the years has accumulated
new axes that have turned into a mini collection that now includes:
·
1948 Gibson L4
·
1968 Stella Harmony
·
1974 Alvarez Yairi DY76-12
·
1975 Alvarez 5022
·
1986 Alvarez Yairi DY90
·
1991 Gibson Les Paul Studio
Ebony
·
1998 Gibson Les Paul
Standard Honeyburst
Mike first came to 12 Bar Studios to take some guitar
lessons. From there a relationship
developed and he became part of the ownership in 2008.
Mike is married with 2 children that are showing
some musical talent of their own.
One of his biggest thrills in music has been meeting musical
legend Les Paul. He has also met
blues legends Henry Townsend, David “Honeyboy” Edwards and Robert “Jr.”
Lockwood, all of whom actually played with the blues icon Robert Johnson.
With all of the musical talent in the St. Louis region, someday he would
like to meet a legend that got his start at 12 Bar Studios.
